Detroit’s 3rd Annual Million Father March Scheduled for Monday, September 5, 2011 during the Labor Day Parade in Detroit. Calling the men of Detroit - The Better Detroit Youth Movement and affiliated organizations are asking you to come forth to make a presence at the parade. BDYM is welcoming individuals and organization to affiliate and extend the community network of resources for our youth. Why - Young people of this city need to see how important education and community support are through the actions of male role models. Many of  our youth are in female lead households sometimes lacking male interaction in a way that guides and leads them in a positive direction for the future. Meet by 9:00am (no later) at Starbucks at Woodward Ave & Martin Luther King Blvd [map]. Please note parking and transportation in the area will be impaired - you may find it best to park and take a bus into the parade area.
